Start date: 15th September 2024 | Deadline: 30th September @15.00h CEST 2024 8th October EOB 2024
Context of the Call
Three Postdoctoral Fellowship contracts are offered by the Chair “Cátedra UAB-Cruïlla”, a public private initiative in agreement from March 2024 to December 2026, contributing to the retention of talent for researchers in the early stages of their postdoctoral activity, and with the aim of promoting state-of-the-art research in Artificial Intelligence (AI) withing the context of Music and Arts. The application deadline for the first call is 30th September 2024 8th October EOB 2024. Applications must be submitted in English. The Chair envisions research about the concept of the artistic event as an ephemeral city, which is set up in a few days and quickly dismantled, to repeat the cycle in another place. Around this ephemeral city, challenges appear before, during and after the event (logistics, access control, audience monitoring, … and also artistic creation). AI is the enabling ingredient of innovation, and we want to develop and consolidate the Chair as a transmission belt between Academia and Industry. In this context, applications are welcomed for three lines of oriented research: 1) IA-CREATE, which explores the role of AI as a creative agent, 2) IA-SUPPORT, which explores the use of AI to provide aid and tools for the creation, and 3) AI-EXPERIENCE, which explores the role of AI in the engagement of the final user before, during and after the event. Please, visit our website http://catedrauabcruilla.cvc.uab.cat for further information and extended details on the application and selection process.
